SNAI owns 181,000+ acres of land on both side of the Cook Inlet. A large portion of the Corporation’s land is located adjacent to the Community of Seldovia and along the shoreline and uplands adjacent to Kachemak Bay. All of SNAI’s lands are private lands and access is allowed by permit only. The Corporation offers several different types of permits for various uses of the land. The types of permits are: Seasonal Non-Commercial Recreation Permit (hiking, biking) and Hunting Permit (for black bears – Jakolof Bay to Boundary Creek, and brown bears on the west side of the Cook Inlet). There is also a Homesite Land Lease Program available. The SNAI Land Lease Program is for non-commercial recreational cabin or home site purposes only. The available lease term is for twenty-five (25) years. Lease payments are based on the Kenai Peninsula Borough and SNAI’s appraisal value. These permits can be found on SNAI’s website under “Resources.”
The Corporation also owns a large commercial property on the waterfront in the City of Seldovia. The property once a grocery store operation housed with an eight-room hotel suite above the store. The store and hotel operations were discontinued in 2009. The company is assessing future uses for the property which has a commanding view of the picturesque Seldovia Bay.
The Dimond Center Hotel is a 109-room, upper Mid-Scale; Featured Service Hotel independently owned and operated by the Seldovia Native Association, Inc. The hotel was opened in July of 2002 in a unique South Anchorage location within close proximity to the Dimond Center Mall. Scopes of operation include Administration/HR, Safety/Risk Management, Accounting/Financial, Sales and Marketing, Revenue Management, Front Office Guest Services, Transportation, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping and Facilities Maintenance. Dimond Center Hotel has in place and available all systems and programs required to efficiently and profitably develop and manage other hotel properties similar to DCH. Our Management Team is very experienced and well respected within the Alaska Hospitality Industry, as proven through awards and recognition granted to both individuals and the property by the Alaska Hotel & Lodging Association at the annual “Stars of the Industry” awards event.
Red Mountain, LLC was formed in 2004 and is wholly owned by Seldovia Native Association, Inc. The company expanded by opening an office on California’s Central Coast in 2009 and has successfully been procuring and managing projects at area military bases since that time. Red Mountain, LLC has unique rights granted by the United States Congress to Alaska Native Corporations (ANC’s) and Native American Tribal Enterprises (Tribes) in the Federal Procurement Process.
Red Mountain Solutions, LLC was formed in August 2014 to take advantage of the expertise developed by its owners, SNAI. The Corporation has developed and operated several successful business operations and because of their successes believe it is only a natural path to continue to grow and develop a subsidiary that takes advantage of the business expertise developed by SNAI and partners. Red Mountain Solutions, LLC is in its infancy, however, the company is ready to begin work within the area of Facilities Support Services.
Red Mountain Contractors, LLC was formed in August 2014 and is wholly owned by the Seldovia Native Association, Inc. The company is based out of Anchorage, Alaska and was created to conduct business in the Construction Industry. Red Mountain Contractors, LLC has an efficient organization with the help of the ownership and management team.
