Seldovia Quarry rock and pit run gravel meets or exceeds most State or Federal requirements for degradation, freeze-thaw, glycol and specific gravity tests.

We have over one million yards of gravel, and a limited supply of D-1 material available. We also have a large area of rock suitable for armor rock, which can be mined to meet Army Corps of Engineer specifications.

The specific gravity for rock from our Dan's Cove Quarry was determined to be 2.781 by Alaska TestLab.

Gradation analyses indicate the material at Jakolof can be typically categorized as sandy gravel or coarse gravelly sand with a trace to some silt.

Based on the gradation and degradation tests performed, the soils meet certain requirements of the State of Alaska for highway construction.
